How much did your most expensive suit cost?

I only have one 2 piece suit, and I dropped around £250 on it. I don't have any expensive shoes.

More than you can afford, pal.

Lol, nah.

Not too much more than yours, ~$500.

I mean, the higher you get, there are some brands that are high quality, but you are mostly paying for a name. And the only point of that is to let people know you have money. I don’t see the need.

You can get legit suits that look and feel good without wasting money.

inb4 lies

I have a couple pairs nice shoes that are upwards of 200. But most are not over 150.

These are rookie numbers. On purpose.

Do we include the shoes? If we do, my best suit is a Studio Italia all up worth around $ 8-900. Without the shoes, deduct $300.
Back off, Warchild.

Navy blue Salvatore Ferragamo single-breasted suit in wool, worth approx. $3,000 that I got for less than half price because my wife used to work for the company. I wore it at my wedding. The shoes I wore were a pair of black Loake Aldwych worth around $340.

$1000 for my tux, including the shirt and bow tie. Next most expensive was about $700, blueish suit. Then I've got a basic black one for funerals, cost at most $300. Looking for a gray suit atm which I'll spend $7-800 on if i can only find the right size and color.

I've never owned a suit

I've never bought into the fake concept of a man is somehow more important or smarter based on what he's wearing

It's not about being smarter or more important, it's basically a uniform for certain jobs or situations. Do you feel the same way about military uniforms?

Only like $500. I'd like to get a super nice suit one of these days but they're so damn expensive for something you don't wear that often.

Now I do love shoes and have like 8 pairs of A&Es. But they don't cost anywhere close to a banging suit.

The last suit I bought was a Hugo Boss from Nordstrom. I think I paid around $895 for it. I also got a Boss shirt and tie, so all of that together was a little over a grand.

I got Monte Rosso shoes to wear with it that were a little over $400.

exceptions being if you are some politician and get it for free

just get a suit supply level brand, slim fit and get it tailored (tailoring part is important)
