You woke up breathing and you are about to go to bed breathing.
Your statement is objectively inaccurate.
Do not think in absolutes man.
I know it feels like nothing is going right. But that is not a reflection of reality.
When you get ideas like that in your mind and dwell on it, your brain will engage confirmation bias mode and look for more ways your day is chit, and ignore the good aspects.
Try to identify three perceived good things that happens today.
Doesn’t have to big like a promotion, just as long as you perceive it to be positive. The point is to acknowledge good things do happen on a regular basis.
I will start
-My sister and I panned a vacation for next month and we started making reservations. I have not seen her in a long time and she has never been to my house. I never went home after the military and I have hardly seen her. I miss her and I am extremely excited to spend time and bond with her.
-My neighbor came over to chat after dinner. He is an amazing person. I want to be him when I grow up. Every time I talk to him I learn something. He is the physical manifestation of the idea of a good man. I am so grateful to have a neighbor like him.
-I had a full bbq spread for dinner. It is Sunday, not a typical every day dinner. Ribs, mac and cheese, slaw, baked beans, deviled eggs, all of it. I wish I had an appetite so I can get more lol.
okay, so I talked to my sister, talked to my neighbor, and ate dinner. Very common things that can be very enjoyable. They were all great experiences and opportunities.
okay, now you.
