Hearing about people's CC ๐ณ debt makes me sad ๐ (srs) (damn)
The interest is so high ๐ตโ๐ซ and it hurts to think of someone with a low salary falling into this hole of high-interest debt ๐
I don't blame it on the bank ๐ฆ ๐ค at the end of the day, the bank is lending them money and the borrower has agreed to pay these rates ๐ค๐ค The borrower should know that there's no such thing as free money ๐๐ I guess it's more sad to think about what got them into this situation ๐

it's such a trap for us poorcells.
my pc broke and I used credit instead and then the balance/ interest just kept adding up.

Been paying off my credit card accounts in full on a monthly (or sooner) basis, for roughly 5 years now srs. Credit score is around the 790's, my banking app tries to give me "up to $500k for a house" and "up to $50k for a car" deals all the time lol. They also keep multiplying the maximum of my credit card limits, however at this rate I'll be shocked if my balance ever gets anywhere close to 10% of that limit tbh.
I realize the above is a brag blog, but really I'm writing that because it's my behavioral habit to ensure my credit cards are fully paid off very often, as well as to ensure I have enough in checking to cover any of that off while also having an emergency fund to boot. People who don't do this are idiots - unless of course they're going through an emergency or something.
A family member of mine has a house and refuses to pay a monthly bill of like $100 to get the HOA's third party company to mow their lawn. So instead they've gone through three different mowers, and decided to "buy" a nice fancy one with a credit card for over $4k SRS. They are lower middle class income, and their interest rates are ABOVE 30%. Absolute stupidity, would've been better off just paying for the landscaping service tbh, that's what I plan to do whenever I own a home.

Usury is terrible and unfortunately a system we live in
2:136
Say, หนO believers,หบ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

That said, "poor" is vague and changes with time ๐ค If someone lives paycheck to paycheck for example I don't think banks should be allowed to let them borrow money at such high interest ๐ค๐ค but I'm not really sure how to mandate that in law, maybe make borrowing money from CC almost as hard as a mortgage ๐ค๐ค๐ค

Rack up 6-11k/mo in cc charges between business expenses and life stuff. Pay it off every single month. Make an extra like 1500-2k/year in cash rewards just by doing this. I never understand why people pay debit for anything-- all you have to do with credit is keep track and don't spend more than you have in the bank, and pay it off when you get the bill.

Bust Out Fraud is when you make all your payments on time at first, thus increasing your credit limit, then borrowing all you can for cash and prizes, then just dont pay it back; and the consequenses be damned. Just Bankrupt everything.
