“President Trump was wrong. I had no right to overturn the election and his reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day, and I know that history will hold Donald Trump accountable,” Pence said.


“Tourists don’t injure 140 police officers by sightseeing,” Pence said. “Tourists don’t break down doors to get to the Speaker of the House or voice threats against public officials.”


“Make no mistake about it, what happened that day was a disgrace, and it mocks decency to portray it in any other way,” Pence said at the dinner.


“Honestly, I learned a lot working beside Donald Trump, like about subpoenas for instance.”

Pretty good line, and he has a point about Trump asking him to overturn the election and making it seem like he is the one who had the key to whole thing. Still, Jan. 6th is drastically overblown and wasn’t even 1/10000000th what they try to portray it as. Pence is just trying to distance himself from it for his own sake. And yeah that’s understandable, but no need to add to the hyperbole to do it.

What are the “140 injuries to police officers” Pence is talking about? What are the doors they broke down? Sure they weren’t just “tourists” but it’s obvious there is a lot to the story.


He can say it’s mockery of decency to say it’s anything other than a disgrace, and I’d say it’s a mockery of common sense and decency to say it’s like 9-11. Both polar extremes can be retarded obviously. At the same perhaps Pence makes some decent points about the events while Carlson does as well. It’s not that hard to not be an idiotic robot marching forward for your team and whatever narrative they assign to you.

^This. I wish Trump would bow out from 2024 but what really happened on Jan 6th? Some vandalism and a few broken panes of glass inside the Capitol, lots of people shouting outside. Mass media straight up lied about police officers being killed, with a few people who died being MAGA hatters. Do they expect all Americans to have the memory of a gnat? We saw summer 2020, with rioters burning DC. A dozen or so cops were the only thing that kept Rand Paul from being murdered by a mob walking down the street because he is a Republican. They shouted "say her name" like dumbasses at the Congressman who had written the 'Justice for Breonna Taylor' bill already.

Did we all forget Antifa and BLMers occupying part of Seattle for over a month, and the wokesters ultimately murdering 3 young black men? Do people on the left literally just not see such news because their preferred news sources blacklist such events?

I think these DC elitists like Pence feel this way because *it's them*. They live in glass houses, untouched by the real world or their own policies, so for them a few smashes windows and yelling is a thousand times worse than watching other regular Americans have their businesses burned and sometimes lives threatened by violent angry mobs of Antifas.

To be blunt, the most disgusting thing about Jan 6th was the reminder of just how lavish the Capitol is, i.e. the DC elites' territory.Thatis what people should be pissed about regardless of their own party standing. It should have been another obvious wake up call how "representatives" who are always going on about how in touch they are with the American people have absolutely no bearing with the everyday citizen and couldn't care less about the wants and needs of the many.

This sounds like one of those reddit posts complaining about landlords.

Maybe it's a generational thing that's been lost, but the buildings along the National Mall are supposed to be lavish and symbolic of greatness. It's not supposed to be us and them, that chit'soursand what I found disgusting was a bunch of butthurt retards treating it like garbage.

So i was just curious how bad it actually was.

He must have a book coming out or something.

Most of those injuries were minor and consist of "twisted ankle, scrapped arm." Those that committed assualt should be charged accordingly. Those that Trespassed should be charged accordingly.

However, I did remember a certain number of people politely going through the metal detectors and being escorted around by cops. I am going to need a little bit more before I consider 2 years detention without trial and withholding evidence from trial to be acceptable.

but hey jan 6th was worse than 9/11 and those were mostly peaceful protests.
