Whats going on with the Banks?

I'm not pulling my money out of the banks I have money parked at. The FDIC insures deposits up to $250,000. I expect they will honor that if the banks should run into trouble and need to be taken over.

Not sure how you have your assets laid out, but that doesn't apply to all accounts. If it is just a conventional checking/savings sure, but there are a lot of exceptions.


If you have some type of investment that requires a degree of risk or speculation, it likely is not covered.

If you are not sure about yours, I would recommend checking it. Not really anything you can/should do at this point, but expectation management can be helpful.
