to be fair, the original movie was expected to spawn a franchise like Star Wars and that didn't pan out either.

Oddly, another Disney miss in that area (even though the original Willow wasn't Disney property at the time) is Dick Tracy. Disney had an entire Dick Tracy park designed for Disney World until the movie bombed

I liked the movie as a kid. I can't wait for AI generated content, so we can get legit sequels instead of this woke stuff

I started watching the first episode and fell asleep.
planned to go back.
might not bother now.
which is a shame because I liked the movie a lot.
the plan was to get Val into season 2.
He couldn't make season 1 filming due to the throat cancer and how covid could really fuk him up.

they actually had to write him out last minute so that probably affected the script and no madmartigan in willow is no Bueno I'm sure to many people.

I thought the visuals of Dick Tracy were amazing but i only saw it once and that's all i can really remember about it.
I remember more about the making of it show i saw on TV.

I grew up on that movie. Love it.

Watched the show over the weekend. Disney really pissed me off this time.

Dick Tracy didn't bomb. It wasn't a HUGE hit like Batman, but it didn't flop.

Thing is, the movie had so many famous actors in it, who could they have in it for a sequel?

First they destroyed Star Wars, now Marvel movies, and even Willow?

I'm sure the next movie they destroy will be the 5th Indiana Jones movie.

well ok, it was like the last SW movie - it made a lot of money but it fell way short of expectations so in the eyes of the studio, it was considered a bomb.

This wasn't just the sequels though either, they were planning an entire park within Disney World dedicated to Dick Tracy

Oh, didn't know that. Loved that movie as a kid, and that huge shootout at the end was pretty epic. Even though he pretty much had infinite ammo.

NES games were a hit or miss gamble. You never knew what you were going to get.

Great movie from my childhood.

I’m happy Val wasn’t attached to this slop.

That General Khal was one of my favorite villains as a kid.

Also, had the biggest crush on Sorsha as an 8 year old.

Val Kilmer and her were married in real life I believe. Lucky SOB.

Does the original hold up? I never saw it.

As for the series, ha! I just see "Disney," look at the calendar, andknowit will be insultingly horrible. If I wanted that kind of cancer, I'd chew on asbestos chips.

Disney is pretty hit or miss

Andor was amazing.

Most other shows are eh.

I liked Hawkeye, Loki, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier a lot.

I really liked the National Treasure show as well.

They actually had their son Jack do the voice of Madmartigan for a couple of scenes in the show.

I hate what they did to Willow as a frachise so its bittersweet that the canceled that dogchit.

We need to rewind to like 2012 and do everything over again so this woke stuff never happens in this timeline.

The original movie isn't bad, great battles, great villains.
