For those who think women are too demanding today.

A woman on TikTok is explaining her moms unconventional career as a mail-order bride and what rules she had in place.

This took place starting in the late 80s BTW. Keep that in mind.

Used to work with a girl back in the day who was a mail order bride from Lithuania.

Talked to her at length about it.

This was when they were still Soviet so there really wasnt any hope for them, no food, long lines for everything, dreary, just like you picture it would be.

Her dad was supportive of it too. She showed me the magazine she was in and pointed out her sister and friends and such.

it was not whoring but just a way to hopefully get a better life. in her case it worked just fine. She was one of the smartest women I ever met and had common sense and didnt fall for stupid fads. Made me wish i had ordered one almost.

Of course she had requirements as she was doing it to better herself and her families plight.

Anymore though they are just scammers. Those countries arent as bad as they used to be so they dont need to run away.
