Is marriage and having kids worth it?

I am 28 and never had a gf. I have about 100k total saved up including retirement accounts. I have a job as a software developer making 110k/year. I currently live with my parents and am bored but at least I am saving money.

Do you think it is worth it for me to get married and have kids? Or should I just stay single forever? Sometimes I think about just moving to the mountains and live alone. Which path should I go down?

First have sex, then multiple girlsfriend.

Then decide if you even want to be married.

In my opinion - no, not at all.

If it's something you genuinely want, then go ahead. If you dont, then don't just do it anyway because of societal pressure, "muh legacy", some woman pressuring you, or some other stupid reason.

From a purely pragmatic/egoistical perspective: yes most definitely - life is composed of many different chapters, in some of those it’ll be you but much older and having kids (then grand kids) and they will fill the later chapters of your life with meaning and purpose - that’s priceless.

If you raised them right and treated female decently they will also return the favor and take care of you and give you love in the final most lonesome chapter of your life
