Misc Bros: Anybody have plantar fasciitis? How to deal?

I'm pretty sure I have plantar fasciitis. My right heel especially ache like a bich. I recently changed my shoes to sketchers and that has helped a bit. Last night after watching a movie sitting on a reclining chair at the theaters for 2 hours, I couldn't walk. I literally limped out of the theater and the pain was there for a good 10 minutes. How do I deal Bros? I'm only 28 years old but I do work around 14 hours a day 5 days a week.

Do some yoga / chiropractor / stretching for your leg/calf/ankle area

Maybe the thing needs to be properly stretched.

I got severe PF when I completely overdid running a year or so after ankle surgery.

Eventually did physical therapy and the best thing I learned from that was how to flex and thus strengthen your arches. They have you flex it, and then move your big toe while flexed to ensure you aren't just flexing the toe down. It's not something you ever consciously flex but you absolutely can if you try. I would do it throughout the day while standing, simply squeezing it for extended periods of time, using my own weight pushing down on it trying to flatten it as resistance. It's been over 5 years since and have no problem flexing them now. That plus all the more obvious stretches like standing on the edge of some ledge (like a stair step or a curb) on the ball of your foot so that your weight stretches the bottom of the foot/calf out (like a fully stretched out calf raise) and doing both stretches and calf raises, both with the leg straight and bent which stretches the achillies, calf and bottom of the foot even more.

Also did rolling as mentioned above.

Freeze a plastic bottle of water and use it to roll the bottom of your foot.
Calf stretches.

Seconding the golf ball recommendation. Can also use a tennis ball for a softer effect.

Got it bad once in my life after playing in an adult basketball league. Thought I was fkd. Nothing would make it go away for weeks.

Bought one of these and slept with it on at night when your foot is doing most of it's healing. Heals in the stretched position so you don't re-injure your foot everyday when you wake up and start walking on it. Went away in about a week. Ded srs. This and some rolling like others mentioned. Rolling alone did not work for me.

6'5, 240lbs.

That was one of about 40 weird diseases my ex-wife liked to piss and moan about thinking she had. Then there was stuff like celiac disease, thinking she had worms in her assssshole once after watching a show about parasites called Monsters Inside Me or something, etc.

I used to get it. Now I wear insoles with good arch support.

Best treatment I’ve found is the hyperice massage ball.
