I don't think so. I only need energy drinks when I have to do hectic tasks or have to stay up longer then usual.

Alcohol is far more addictive, but yeah depends what kind of alcohol? For me beer is very addictive because of instant pleasure factor, so I crave that kind of pleasure every 2-3 days in order to feel good/happy and function with a calm sense of mind (when not drunk). Hard liquor like whiskey or vodka is however far more difficult to drink, control and manage (hangover are a real pain also), so maybe that kind of liquor is less addictive.

What's the point of being addicted to energy drinks anyways? Until and unless someone drinks them to drive trucks for longer hours or uses them to feel the energy at the gym (in other words makes that a habit).

Alcohol is only addictive if you're trying to numb some type of mental or physical pain.

Alcohol is so physically addictive that going cold turkey can actually kill an addict

As someone who frequently indulges in both I must say I would have a harder time quitting energy drinks than alcohol. Pathetic I know.
