Does drinking beer make you an alcoholic?

I like drinking every night, after work, 1-2 beers. Love the taste, love the light buzz. Does that make me an alcoholic since I do it everyday?

Beer is not even considered “alcohol” in Russia and it’s sold to minors, just like bread. In my books beer is healthier than Coke

of course not. People in 18 century drank beer instead of water cause of baceria.

You can drink any booze as much as you like and not be an alcoholic. What causes that is when the booze takes you over and you start solely focusing on it. Starts with stuff like calling in sick because you are hungover all the time and losing your job and family and that sort of stuff.

You dont just wake up one day and decide to start screwing up, its a slow decline and hard to catch.

this is just my interpretation of course. Some people say if you think about drinking and never drink you are one but I am more of a realist with real world experience with heavy drinking.
