Will I be OK? Looking to get a construction job as a helper

From some Polish folk(im Polish) but I'm out of shape and have only been going to the gym 2 months.

Privately owned construction is a mixed bag. Union construction pays stupid high, even for an entry level apprentice, problems being often make you commute hours away and there is alot of politics and nepotism
