Have any of you guys taken Paxlovid for covid?
I work with an older guy and he was telling me he tested positive for covid at the beginning of the year, and his doctor prescribed him Paxlovid. I hadn't really heard of it prior to him mentioning it, but he said it made his fever go way up, and it made him feel much worse, so he stopped taking it. He said the same thing happened to his daughter.
He also said that he's never had allergies in his life, and now he does, along with a whole bunch of other issues (his words, he didn't elaborate any more). He's constantly sneezing while I talk to him. Apparently this stuff is EUA too, like the covid shots.

Ah Paxlovid, how to make sure your Covid seems to go away for a few days but then comes back worse. That definitely sucks if it caused him to have new allergies. Surely they tested it out for years to make sure your immune system didn't become overactive, right? Lulz. It will suck if in the long term it ends up causing autoimmune disorders, especially since the latest research is pointing a finger at Alzheimer's being predominantly autoimmune.

I took Ivermectin, it's probably the same chit. Didn't really do anything, I didn't get the explosive diarhea some complained about. Not even sure it had an effect one way or the other. That's the thing about taking new products for a new disease. Dude you talked to started to feel like chit after taking Paxlovid, whats to say the exact same thing wouldn't have happened if he let the virus take its course. Same thing if he would have started feeling better, what's to say that wouldn't have happened anyway

I'm not a weak frail bitch, so why would I take anything for the Rona.
Plus, I had it twice. Latest variant was 3 days of discomfort, weaker than a man cold.

You know it's funny half the damn population seems to have either forgot (or is playing dumb) that they have an immune system.
I know MF'ers my age that keep taking the boosters even though they've already had actual Covid this summer because they are convinced the booster is going to somehow "help" them. We know for a fact as with any other disease that you get at least some (if not great) protection from actually having been infected and beat a virus. We also know that the current version of the virus is mutated milder. Yet these fools are still scared and pretend like they have no immunity.
