Should this country Balkanize or get a Caesar?

Thinking more and more about how inevitable it is for society in the West to end up like a giant Fallout themed circus. I think, although both options are unlikely in the foreseeable future, seem to present the "endgame" option for this country and ultimately the world in it's own regions.

A Caesar would be a good option until you get a real ****ty dictator. Probably best we tweak the current system but we’re most likely too far gone at this point.
