Some day our descendants will look back on our media the same way we do cuneiform

It’s wild to think for all the bajillions of hours of YouTube, insta videos, tweets etc documenting our lives, there will some day be technology that captures what happened in such vivid detail that they will look back at us in the same way we view ancient Egypt.

They will despair at the poverty of information left behind about us and how we lived.

wonder how many of our current structures for example would still be around in 2000 years. It's actual insane how long that is, but simultaneously how short it is on geological timescales.
