AMA Anything about Armwrestling

Since it gets more and more popular, if any miscer has any question about it or maybe needs some advice, doesn't know where to start.I like to share my knowledge and i also learn in the process.
I've been doing this religiously for 8yrs+. Not the most gifted genetically but I like to excel in the technique / training methods aspect.

I dont know, arms 17 inch+ I believe. A somewhat good way to know how good of a armwrestler someone is is to look at the difference between their arm and forearm size. Most elite armwrestlers either have same measurement or foream is bigger.

I dont know, I dont really do those, I dont feel them transfer well to armwrestling, I started doing hammer curls and I can do 60lbs for 7-8 reps now but climbing rapidly.

If you wanna test yourself try this, grab a plate like this one and try to curl it, if your abduction fails or you can't hold it tight then I got sum bad news.
I currently work with 35lbs plate for 13 reps, next workout will up it to 45lbs.

I think a armwrestler would be good at this sport. Since I started armwrestling I feel like I can slap way harder, srs. Everything in my arm is now thick, solid, tight so I can really put my weight into it and hit hard.
Idk if a good slapper is a good armwrestler though, but having a big hands is a bonus so it might have some carryover.

No questions, but I think it would be a lot of fun. Never had the opportunity (or didn't look hard enough) to seriously get into it though.

Arm wrestling is fun but I haven't done it in over 10 years I've seen too many videos of ulnar snaps and elbow dislocations to do any hard-core arm wrestling.

When I first met Ion Oncescu he let me grip him by the fingers and would still just toy with me like I was nothing, look at how I gripped him

Well I mean I dont know exactly what you watch but I can say that there are a lot of egotistic people. There is always that "pride" thing involved with some of the not so bright part of the population who tries armwrestling. Like once the cameras start recording, or there are people around, or they go up against a well known puller they all start acting crazy like its a competition or something. All they do is want to win like they will win a prize or something when its just practice. A great example is the practice pull Devon had right after he had that boxing match against Hafthor with that big guy who went crazy against a depleted, "beaten up" Devon. And then still got his ass kicked once Devon let go of the clutch.

For anyone who wants to try it you can message me any time and I recommend you go to a club in your area and practice with people with experience. Or if you want to do it with someone new just please do some research before and go very slow. You win nothing if you go berserk in the first few practices. Once you get the hang of it its really cool. Nothing feels better than takin someone's wrist.

From the technical aspect of view the way they depict armwrestling technique is pretty good, like the way they apply the technique, how they move at the table, kind of looks like a real armwrestling match so they got that right. Other than that I dont remember a lot from the movie since I watched it a long time ago.

There is a guy from Russia who is also a truck driver and is kind of like a real life Over The Top, his name is Vitaly Laletin
