How come Darth Vader never just explained “the power of the dark side” to people?

Throughout all of the movies , Darth Vader would tell people “You don’t know the power of the dark side!” But he never explained it to anyone. If he really wanted people to know the power, why didn’t he just tell them? It didn’t sound like he was saying it to hide it from them, is he just bad at explaining?

The Dark Side turns people into bitches.

Bitches expect people to know what they are talking about when there's no way they can. That then gives them the excuse to harm people.

Darth got that way from being disappointed in life. He wanted to bring order to life to prevent chaos, which sounds good. But, once the Dark Side took over he became a bitch, not a reformer, and started killing people for no living up to his expectations.

The whole Sith shtick was meant to be that there were only ever two of them in the whole galaxy. They'd killed off all the jedi 20 years before.
So to most people, the Force was just some hokey religion and none of them believed that Vader really had powers beyond things like blocking lasers and choking people. In a universe with shields and antigravity, that's not really such an impressive feat.

They weren't doubting his ability to murder them at will, they were doubting his ability to know what the rebels were doing based on a feeling and without a shred of evidence.

This would be like an astrophysicist telling people, "You just don't understand the power of singularities!" Why even bother explaining it? They're never gonna get it.
