why do guys you make friend with ALWAYS want something from you? (srs)

i've tried to make friends. my best friend is in florida so might see him once a year.

there was 2 guys i made friends with...but as soon as i tell them that i have a work from home job they try and guilt trip me into getting them a chance to work with me. (as if i did the hiring)

I have a college degree...and they dont....i only make $20 which sucks for a degreed person but they act like they cant be my friend unless I get them a job. WTF

I say hey and talk workouts with people at the gym...but anytime i try and make friends for outside the gym its no go...any advice?

Wait until you start a business. It starts before you even make $1. I went to dinner the other night with some friends and 2 of them cornered me in the parking lot on my way out lol.

i have a work from home job but it's not like i dont fatigue. and it's quite depressing working alone at home.

friendship doesnt exist bro. only moderately high iq people will get this point, the rest of people will cope and make excuses. its all about benefits for the other person, always has been and always will be.

take a look at world wars and look at russia and usa. how did that happen? their interests changed. same with people. one day theyll be good, then the next theyre your enemy or they ghost you.

exactly...people are always wanting to extract something for their benefit. you entertain me...or you help my career...you put me around other people that benefit me, loan me money, give me a ride, help me fix something, etc, etc.

I think it exists, as long as money or sexual access to sloots aren't on the table. Those 2 things will win over friendship 99.9% of the time.

Just be aware that every friend you have will at least subconsciously look for a way to bang your girl and get your money. But you can still have casual friends.

Yeah, haven't seen any point in making friends in a very long time.

My last group of 'friends' haven't spoken to me once since I stopped doing an activity we had in common.

I goofed and was a drug addict/alcoholic from about 14 to 26... The only thing I've ever wanted friends for was to get drunk or high with someone. I don't know how to make friends while sober and honestly I have not had the desire for it since I was much younger. I just run my business and take care of my family that's enough for me.

Generally, females have more friends as their life is more social oriented.

male friendships are based off more on common interests(like motorcycles, gym w/e ) which tend to change somewhat over time.

Never mix money + friendships and you can find some great friends.
