MMA is better, but generally any hand to hand martial art you practice is fail and mainly dedicated for sport. BJJ is good for grabbing people, but none of the martial arts really teach you how to use weapons or to do highly effective but traditionally dishonorable moves. For example, you are not taught to go for eyes, groin, back of head, throat, or to bite or claw your opponents. Theoretically, the best weapons an unarmed human has are his teeth and his fingernails. Also, any number of things can be used as a weapon. None of this is taught to people. Most hand to hand fighting is purely for sport.

He seemed to have zero problems with the former French Muay Thai champ. Literally barely got touched.

Modern MMA torches any strictly standing striking martial arts. Just like it torches strictly grappling based martial arts.

Why not just box and hit legs hard squats and deadlifts in case you go to the ground so you have a strong base
