Yall ever use physio-pedia.com?

www.physio-pedia.com

I've found it to be a pretty good resource for figuring out how to attack injuries (much more thorough than webmd/healthline ime). It's been pretty useful for me since doctors/PTs are hit or miss, and they often don't want to dig into the root of the problem.

You should never self diagnose an injury op. Be sure to always book yourself in with a qualified PT like myself for a professional opinion.

Meh, PTs have been chit at figuring stuff out ime. I still go to plenty of doctors and PTs, but I would not be making progress if I wasn't doing research on my own.

are you a canabrah or ameribrah? I ask because canabrah PTs, the younger ones are much better than the older ones due to changes in requirements but the older ones are grandfathered in

Ameribrah. I have found much of the same, though the older folks still pick up on things faster and notice smaller details ime. I do see how PTs even 5 years younger seem to have newer techniques/exercises, so maybe if they're better at treating, but if it's a bit unclear what the root cause is, I wouldn't count the oldfuks out.

I suppose it depends on what you're looking to get outta PT, physio-pedia won't be able to provide the same education regarding how to alter lifestyle and movements as most of the population would need, but seeing as to how your on a bb forum, id expect you at least have some knowledge about exercise and can adjust yourself.

I mean yeah obvs that's the first option if it seems that severe and you can trust them, but they've let me down a lot, so having a resource to both use to form my own ideas and to understand theirs has been very helpful.

Sure, absolutely; there's a lot of wisdom behind it. At the same time, I feel like this site gives a decent overview of things.

Well, working so far... eh. It just hasn't been that consistent of a thing along the way - I've iteratively found what direction I should be heading (this probably holds true for most of my injuries). The PTs/docs have been good at decreasing symptoms *temporarily*, but they're very bad at getting at the root causes ime.

Hopefully more or less on the right path for my injuries (knee, shoulder, ankle) now, but we'll see.
