This is the most prestigious career available. Even autist engineers can’t make it through med school.

There are good, smart doctors, and there are fukking stupid doctors.

There are difficult, preparatory MD and DO programs, and there are fukking trash-tier MD and DO programs.

There are genuinely difficult specialties that weed out 90+% of potentials, and there are easy-peasy thumb-sucking specialties that would allow an actual troglodyte with a stethoscope to complete training.

The esteem with which the general population holds doctors across the board is a bit overblown, while conversely the Misc for some reason generalizes every single doctor regardless of all factors as a 12 IQ pharma-shill.

The truth, as with every other career in existence, is that the majority of them lie somewhere in the middle.

Most people that do medical degrees took biology courses and a few basic Chemistry courses which only utilize raw memorization.

I bet most could not pass high level math, physics, or chemistry (thermodynamics) courses.
