People who watch/read the "news".

Doesn't matter what news source, it is either:

Fully fake propaganda
Half truths used to paint a political picture
Garbage celebrity bullchit
Distractions to keep people away from the truth

Unbelievable that we live in 2023 and people still buy into this bullchit.

I sift through financial items, as they do have items of value. But sometimes I'm at the gym and there are news channels on, and it's like watching some made up alternate universe.

I think it depends more on how much time is spent doing these things.

I'll spend maybe ~15 mins daily or every other day sifting through google news top stories just to see whats going on / being talked about . (mostly in finance/business/tech/and health).

I'll watch maybe ~20 mins total of cable news in an entire week for a similar reason, just to have a pulse. I take everything I read/hear with a grain of salt obviously.


but yeah, if you're spending hours every single night watching CNN/FOX and regurgitating it as gospel, you're an idiot.

Passively soaking up words spoken to you by a TV talking head is pathetic. Double points if you then regurgitate it to others verbatim. However, cultivating the news from multiple sources and doing your own research to be well informed is braggable and should be encouraged. Stop encouraging uninformed morons to vote and instead push them to learn.
