Is Oral Minoxidil as Effective as Finasteride for Hair Loss?

Basically title. I've noticed my hairline is receding pretty badly nowadays. I've been doing topical minoxidil for a while and have seen decent results, but I think I'm starting to lose ground and need something more potent. I'm avoiding finasteride becuase of side effects, so curious about peoples' experience with oral minoxidil and if it's at least more effective than topical is.

They're different. You are supposed to take both. One reduces DHT and the other regrows hair.

I knew a guy who tried oral minox, accidentally drank too much and his heart stopped. They had to get the defibrillator to bring him back

Oral Minoxidil is powerful. My eyebrow hairs sometimes grow to 1 inch and have to trim them now.

Before OM, I'd still lose a few hairs just from brushing. After OM, I can tug on my hairs and nothing falls out.

OM is a game changer.

Lol, I had this same chit happen. I stopped taking it because my eyebrows started growing hella long and I was getting white hair on my forehead in places that I'd never had it before, but then my head hair started thinning a bit so I'm back on the Oral Minox. Works like a charm.

They work in different ways to combat hair loss

Oral monoxidil is for regrowing, finasteride is for prevention

So you need to use this in tandem for best results … stop the loss and grow back the hair

Finasteride on its own - most likely stay where you’re currently at

Minox on its own - you’ll regrow hair while losing it at the same time

I've been taking it for 8 months and it has literally done nothing.

Oral Minoxidil is incredible for hair growth. It actually causes some people to look like werewolfs with foot long eye brows, hair on their foreheads, etc. I'm just afraid of Tachycardia and Heart Palpitations from Oral Minoxidil and that's why I don't use it.
I used to use Minoxidil 5% foam in the morning and night and 2% minoxidil liquid 3 times during the day and that gave me heart palpitations.
This minoxidil use 5 times a day actually grew back 100% of my crown to as thick as when I was 12 years old but it wasn't worth the side effects.
I've since switched to a 5% Minoxidil foam in the morning and 2ml of 5% Minoxidil liquid mixed with a 0.0125% solution of finasteride in the evening. I have no heart palpitations since. If I wasn't so sensitive to Minoxidil side effects, I'd definitely be on oral minoxidil because it's incredible for hair regrowth. I would just laser surgery off all the warewolf hairs on the forehead.

Oral Minoxidil=Warewolf

Congratulations, I wish I could try oral minoxidil, but I'm just too sensitive to the side effects.
I'll have to stick to topical and foam I guess.
