Probably 25 (srs). Went through my EDM/raving/clubbing phase where I was up until 3-4am every weekend raging and dancing. Nowadays I get sleepy just being at a bar or club past 11pm, and it’s all just the same chit. Literally every bar and club is all exactly the same. It doesn’t matter what city you’re traveling to, they’re always the same.

So yeah, I don’t really waste my time at bars or clubs anymore unless I’m traveling and at a fancy cocktail place with a friend, but I’m more likely to get my dopamine rush from smoking dabs than from drinking, and I’m more likely to go to a high end restaurant for my weekend entertainment than I am a club these days

At home, it really never made any sense to me to drink. THC makes way more sense (srs)

I think your problem is you're not doing enough to help your body recover after getting drunk...like taking supplements or proper nutrition

There's no reason you shouldn't be getting drunk until you're old

I'm approaching 28 and beginning to feel this way too.

Hangovers get worse with age. Sleep gets all pharked up after a few beverages without proper hydration. To the point where going into a drinking session you're thinking more about the next day's negative impact, versus the evening/night of high dopamine.

Thankfully weed causes no such issues.

The worst thing with excessive drinking is how time just flies by, especially if you pass out. I've had recent occurrences of drinking in the afternoon, then suddenly it's 10 PM. I get pissed off that my day off is totally gone.

I don't know how alcoholics do it. It's exhausting. Like some of the posters here I just can't drink anymore. Just makes me immediately tired.

Late 20's early 30's.

My best friend never really stopped drinking and now has stones.

This is surprisingly true tbh, had to Google. Apparently in the 1800s it was like 3.5-7.1 gallons of alcohol per year, usually at the lower end, per adult. Now it's closer to 2 gallons of pure alcohol per year per adult. We drink less and we complain more in the 2000's.

Had too much whisky last night unfortunately. Rehydrating now with electrolytes and b vitamins. Can't do this too often and especially not when I have to work the next day.

I get drunk early nowadays. Like usually starting at happy hour and drink until like 11pm or midnight or earlier. Usually mostly sober by the time I'm going to bed which helps. Rarely get hangovers.

At 41, I still like beer. I drink for different reasons than I used to. I'll have a few to unwind. Get a buzz, then go home. It's not like my early 20s, when I would drink to get fukked up and fall down.

if I drink too much on a weekday I literally cant make it to work the next day, zero sleep quality, horrible anxiety, extreme brain fog. 30 have basically stopped getting drunk on weekdays because of this, used to do it every day but my body cant handle it anymore.

Sounds like that may be the case.

Unfortunately, I haven't. Honestly, a fairly big part of me despises alcohol (love hate) but...fuark is it hard to quit.

As far as getting hung over off a small amount, or anything like that...no doesn't really happen. I consider myself fairly hangover prone, but as far as the "3 beers" thing or the people talking about having ones that last for several days (I've had some creep into a second day if I drank REAL heavily)...haven't experienced that.
