Was Norm MacDonald the only one who could tell these 8 minute long jokes?

Some of his jokes are like 8-12 minutes long and still manages to entertain people. Whereas like Robin Williams would tell like 85 jokes in that time.

Lol my grandad used to tell long jokes, he had some strange way of always making you think the next line would be the punchline which it never was. Then he'd get you with the punchline when you just didn't expect it. Always thought he was a wizard for it.
