Kane had the biggest drop off ever in wrestling imo.

Masked Kane was an absoloute beast, believable against anyone, believable enough in fact that the opponent basically either had to get lucky, or cheat to beat him.

Best monster heel ever.

Mask off kane (and even the last like year of masked kane tbh) was just a joke pretty much, never looked like a threat to the title, if it was kane in a title match you knew he was losing, where early on his career it was more "how the hell is the champion gonna beat kane"

Huge drop and wasted potential, imo he should have spent most of his career in an Andre like role where any win over him was a shocker and a massive deal.

He jobbed to khaki at mania ffs.

Glenn Jacobs was always too nice, he wasn't a guy with a huge ego like the others so he didn't protect his character as much and just was a go with the flow type of guy.

1997-2002 he was the best. When he first took off the mask he was still pretty good (remember him coming out in police chains and tombstoning linda mcmahon and setting JR on fire? But from 2004 onwards it was mostly downhill. As soon as he re-debuted in the mask after many years they feed him to Cena in his first fued back. Team Hell No was alright but Corporate Kane was just trash which dragged on for about a year too long.

i disagree slightly in that the first half of unmasked kane, my favorite, he was awesome

You can't have a 20 year run with only two singles titles and keep being believable as dominate forever. WWE should have actually put him in spots to have some meaningful runs. No reason Taker got 7 major reigns and Kane got 2.

Kane was a monster, but got thoroughly clobbered by guys like Austin.

He was never as 'dominant' as some people believe outside of his initial push ie. when Vader put him over.

until he got beat by taker at wm 14


he was still viewed as a monster for another year or so

then he got beat some more


it's the same deal with every monster gimmick

are they just supposed to be undefeated forever?
