Lexus Defender/Gwagon incoming.
The verticality of the A-Pillar and the flared fender tells the whole story. Can't fuking wait. Have a 2023 GX but definitely gonna trade in for this. I'll give up the underpowered V8 for the TTV6 just to get this new aesthetic.

It will be nothing like those 2. It will basically be a Lexusfied Toyota Prado.
Which looks nothing like the Defender or G-wagon at the moment. New one won't look like that either.

Toyota has said they will be bringing LandCruise back to the North American market. Rumor is it will not be the LC300, but it will be the Prado like you said.
The new LX600 (and old GX’s) are too soccer mom for me, so if they start offering a more aggressively styled and spec’d GX, while keeping the torsen diff / more power vs. 4Runner, I could totally see myself in one to replace my Platinum/Pro Tundra.

The flared fender alone, is absolutely nothing like the 2023 prado/gx. You're looking at press photo from lexus and saying "it's not going to look like what they're showing" despite it being nothing like the current vehicles lol

New GX550 does look like a winner to me tho. Looks like a blend of the LX600 and a 4Runner, I really am liking it.
Will wait and see what Toyota does with the new upcoming LC and 4R, but this new GX may be exactly what I’m looking for.

It looks more like a defender than the defender.
