Rentcel friend kicked out of apartment, what do misc?

Friend violated his lease agreement by smoking outside his bedroom window 3 times in a couple months. He got 2 warning letters and the 3rd is the boot. Neighbors above him complained, apparently.

He has nowhere to go, as it's hard to find a place and I don't really want Bubbles living in one of my sheds.

I guess rentcels have limited rights, and he torched his last chance. What do, misc?

I still don't get why they booted him out for smoking out his window at 3am. BRB, live in a 70's apartment that smells like cigarettes and old people, then complain about smoke at 3am.

He should have just said "It wasn't me".

tell your friend to stay put. make landlord go through the order of possession process. that will give you some more time (2-3 months easily maybe even way more cuz covid).

Too late now, brahs. He's already moving his personal belongings out, says he'll leave the old furniture because fck 'em.

If he shows up at my house, I'll physically evict him before he gets one foot in the door, since I have kids and no way will I allow a smokey, pothead, jobless rentcel to spend time with them.

Old friendships only go so far.
