Year after year everybody is like "hey don't forget about the Sixers, they look good and will go far this year".

Meanwhile they've gotten bounced in the 2nd round for 5 out of the past 6 years (the other was in the 1st round). They haven't made it out the semis since 2000 when Iverson played.

Man Embiid, Harden and Doc Rivers are the choke trio matched in heaven. They HAVE to be on suicide watch if they haven't been already. I'm not sure what you do at this point. They have a good team capable of winning. Just can't put it together. Sure they've had injuries, but they've choked many series.

Agree to a point. I will say though, it's tough to judge Embiid to harshly for this one:



Pre-Harden and maybe Doc, can't remember for sure when he was hired. I see you're a Toronto brah so that should be a happy memory.

Some of it has been genuine bad luck. 3 of their last 5 exits have been in 7 game series. This one has got to hurt. They were in a great position to win game 6 and I wouldn't necessarily call it a choke job in the sense that I don't think the Celtics were getting better looks than the 76ers down the stretch, the Celtics' shots just all went in. If you flip a coin enough times, there's going to be stretches were you get heads 5 times in a row. That's basketball. At the same time, the 76ers have had a lot of chances and haven't been able to put it together. Some teams have a lot of margin for error (think Golden State with Durrant), and the 76er's don't - they need a lot to go right in order to win it all.

Embiid is fine and Maxey is a baller. Harden has to go. He's c0ckblocking Maxey right now and disappears in the playoffs. It was worth it to get him to get Simmons off the roster, but his usefulness has come and gone.

Alot of it is on Embiid as well IMO. I don't know how injured he gets coming into the playoffs but he underperforms alot. Esp when there is a big who can defend. He's able to feast on any lineups that play small. Maybe it was Doc not being able to make adjustments.

Game 7 I'll admit boston made good adjustments and the Sixers had no idea what to do. Putting timelord out there eliminated paint scoring pretty much. And sixers werent able to find the open man. Game 6 I think the Sixers definitely let it get away from them.

Embiid has terrible court vision and basketball iq. He will never win a championship unless he decides to play robin to someone's batman. Never seen such a dominating big man play so small come playoffs time. Sabonis was also a disappointment as was KAT. It's getting to the point where you just expect Embiid to cry to the cameras after another failure or put the blame on someone else...soft as fukc.
