Smart if you can make it work. Something with no inventory and a cheap-ish subscription.

I don't want to chase after people for receivables/billing. So subscription would be good, or payment on delivery. Possible exception for a weekly/monthly service since you can cut off a non-payer quickly. And I don't think I would want to have a lot of capital sitting around tied up in inventory.

I've thought it could be alright to do something part-time/seasonal like concessions- maybe a little drive through/walk up shack with ice cream/snow cones in summer and coffee/tea in winter in area where there is foot traffic at certain times.

I think this Salad & Go concept is pretty smart and I'm curious how well they will do. I imagine that they have mainly ready made stuff in a cooler that they can just grab, bag, and pass out the window. I thought about something like that with soup in MI...the winter is long and the ingredients weren't expensive.

martial arts school. I have a strong reputation in the community, and a decade of experience teaching kids (any MA schools bread and butter $$)

I think I could quickly scale to multiple locations. My area is underserved, I would offer a ton of child-care esque services, camps, etc. a lot of $$ in it for the right mind.

not much overhead either, you just need a physical space and quality mats.

What is your solution to catering to the kiddies and soccer moms in combat sports ($$$) while not being a mcdojo?

I've spent the last 10 years instructing kids brazilian jiu-jitsu. Ive become really good at adopting the ecological model of instruction. it essentially "gamifies" bjj instruction where the kids are learning through objective oriented grappling games instead of pure technique. they learn jiu jitsu without knowing they're doing jiu jitsu. I teach adults too , but i've always had a knack with kids more than anything.

I'm also a NASM/ACE personal trainer and would include bootcamp/boxercise style classes for soccer moms. and again, I have a ton of connections in the industry from being a part of it so long. It wouldn't be hard to get yoga on the schedule for soccer moms as well . I know young yoga chick types who would teach for pennies just for exposure/experience.

I have a ton of ideas , srs. I'm just trying to save up $$ to bring it to reality.
