How much protein do you actually absorb from a whey protein shake?
I remember reading an article from nutrition tactics (a couple of PhD boyos studying muscle metabolism & exercise-induced muscle perfusion & growth) a couple of years back and also found this study to confirm
https://jissn.biomedcentral.com/arti...1550-2783-5-10
"However, due to possible inhibition of endogenous digestive enzymes from over-processing and rapid small intestine transit time, the average amount of liquid WPC that is absorbed may be only 15 g. The combined effect of these factors may contribute to incomplete digestion, thereby limiting the absorption rate of protein before it reaches the ceacum and is eliminated as waste."
So it turns out as the transit time for whey is a meager 1.5h (absorption zone in intestine), you are chugging down 2 scoops hoping you'll get 50 grams of gainz but actually getting way less than that (about 30%)
Thoughts, debunks, reps? Should we mix in some oatmeal or bananas to slow down the process and optimise for ghaynes? Or switch to casein protein?

From Alan Aragon's February 2018: How much protein can the body use in a single meal...
I believe it was 25g, anything more than that would not be absorbed due to fast digestion. But this is if you only had whey with water, if you combine it with other things like milk, peanut butter, bannana etc the digestion would slow down enough for you to be able to absorb more protein. This is probably why most whey protein supplements only contain 25g per serving.
