Coffee consumption reduces risk of dying significantly:
More testosterone, less estradiol with coffee:
Coffee compound lowers body fat %:
Biggest meta-study so far: coffee protects against five kinds of cancer
Drink more coffee, live longer
Coffee protects against depression
Coffee converts brown fat cells to heat
Better strength training and reduced muscle pain with coffee
Of particular interest for Miscers is the study that indicates Coffee helps combat depression and reduce risk of suicide!!Of particular interest for Miscers is the study that indicates Coffee helps combat depression and reduce risk of suicide!!
Coffee consumption reduces risk of dying significantly:
Study
The researchers followed almost 20,000 Spaniards for about ten years.
Results
With every 2 cups of coffee that the study participants drank daily, their chance of dying decreased by 22 percent.

More testosterone, less estradiol with coffee:
Results
The researchers found more testosterone and less estradiol in the blood of the study participants who drank at least 1 cup of coffee daily than in the blood of the study participants who did not drink coffee. Those differences were statistically significant.
The researchers also looked at the 'good fat hormone' adiponectin and the inflammatory factor CRP. In the blood of the study participants who drank 4 cups or more of coffee per day, they found 16.6 percent less CRP and 9.3 percent more adiponectin.

Coffee compound lowers body fat %:
Supplementation with chlorogenic acid, a phytochemical that we ingest in large quantities every day through regular foods such as vegetables and coffee, reduces fat mass and improves cholesterol balance.
https://www.ergo-log.com/chlorogenic...ercentage.htmlBiggest meta-study so far: coffee protects against five kinds of cancer
Coffee drinkers are several scores of percent less likely to develop liver cancer, prostate cancer and three other types of cancer than people who don't drink coffee. This finding comes from a prestigious Chinese meta-study that was published in Scientific Reports. However, coffee also seems to increase the chance of developing some types of cancer.
https://www.ergo-log.com/biggest-met...of-cancer.htmlDrink more coffee, live longer
The more foods such as espresso, blueberries, raspberries, olives, peppers and spinach you eat daily, the longer you may live, with espresso having the highest antioxidant content of any food. The antioxidants in these products reduce the risk of deadly forms of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. A meta-study, that epidemiologists from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences will shortly publish in the European Journal of Nutrition, suggests this.
https://www.ergo-log.com/if-you-eat-...ve-longer.htmlCoffee protects against depression
"In conclusion, our results support a possible protective effect of caffeine, mainly from coffee consumption, on risk of depression. These findings are consistent with earlier observations that suicide risk is lower among persons with higher consumption of coffee.
https://www.ergo-log.com/coffee-caff...epression.htmlCoffee converts brown fat cells to heat
After a cup of coffee your body consumes more energy. A cup of coffee contains enough caffeine to activate the brown fat cells in your body and makes them convert more calories into heat. English cell biologists, affiliated with the University of Nottingham, write this in Scientific Reports.
https://www.ergo-log.com/after-a-cup...more-heat.htmlBetter strength training and reduced muscle pain with coffee
Bodybuilders and other strength athletes can squeeze more reps out of their sets if they consume the amount of caffeine contained in three cups of coffee before doing a workout. It can also reduce the muscle soreness that plagues some athletes after training. Sports scientists from the University of Rhode Island write about the effect in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research

I'll stick to the whiskey and vodka.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

It should be noted that coffee doesn’t mean some sugar laden Starbucks whipped bullsh!t dessert drink with maybe a shot of coffee in it.

Quit coffee a week ago after drinking 250mg+ daily for 20 years...
I am way less anxious but am more irritable. It's like my brain misses that dopamine kick. I used to drink coffee first thing after waking up which fuks up my fight or flight response. I get really agitated, running thoughts, I can't be okay even if rationally everything's okay. I believe I am particularly sensitive to caffeine.
Performance wise coffee has been established to be effective. But the mental health benefits of quitting are through the roof. I feel genuinely calm. Not angry. Will stick with it and see what happens.

PS. 420ing without coffee is genuinely better. Zero paranoia. The munchies are more controllable. You don't "crash".
