Are Jews extra sensitive/defensive?
Generally speaking. One pattern I've noticed recently is a hyper sensitivity to jokes or stereotypes. e.g. I sent a "greedy-jew" meme jokingly to a friend of mine after he sold something, and a random girl in the group gotreally triggered and probably hates me now. People always send memes stereotyping groups like "drunk-irish" etc. and nobody has an issue.
I've noticed this pattern online too. Am I off base here? Is it due to a built-in persecution defense/fear within their culture?
And, I shouldn't have to clarify this but I don't really care what religion/race people are.

All the horror movies about the holocaust burned into your mind. Your identity is tied to unending anxiety of being persecuted which is right around the corner.
Yea, they're all a little jumpy. Funny thing is I like a lot of the regular jews. They're typically pretty funny if they aren't part of the political nonsense and victimhood narratives.

You have a mixture of people who are hyper sensitive, moderately sensitive, and those that like jokes and don't care.
The real problem is that they don't wear labels, so you have no idea which of the 3 types you are dealing with.
It isn't about victimhood as some want you to believe, but it is a matter of respect.
So the safe bet is to not say these types of jokes until you can get a handle on who you are talking to.

Cultures make a huge difference in outcomes. I don't see why outcome differences are such a forbidden topic. People seem to think it'll fuel hatred if obvious facts are discussed; the worst conspiracies are fueled when you sweep stuff underground.
