Always found it funny that they exposed the business at an untelevised house show in 1996-when in 1995 Vince had a clown, a mantaur, a guy with a jockstrap on his face, a garbage collector, a one eyed pirate, a pig farmer, a magician etc on his television & PPV's, being watched by millions worldwide. HHH is a good wrestler who is way overblown and overestimated in terms of talent and legacy. I do think the stories of him carrying bags for the Clique are silly, he did, but only as long as he was the junior member of the group and was expected to show respect to the elders - same as anyone else throughout the history of wrestling.

Good worker. Great look. Mid mic abilities and not a lot of charisma. He was good enough to work off of actual major stars like Austin and the Rock, but I think even when working with them his backstage antics were going on and he got too much from both at various times. Same with UT and other actual top guys he worked with in that era.

After, when there were not the big stars and WWE transitioned from Attitude to Ruthless Aggression, his clear role should have been to help establish and work with young guys, help get them over and put over some of them. Instead he bulldozed over them and opened every RAW with a boring 20 minute monologue thinking he was Ric Flair.

He was talented, just not nearly as much as he's portrayed and his selfish and insecure burials of opponents left him with a glaring hole in his legacy, he never grasped that he was only as good as the guy he was working with - and he made sure to go out of his way to make them all look like trash, other than his pal HBK.
