Anyone else think DeSantis is kind of a Dork?

He’s not cool, Trump is the frickin man. DeSantis is a pencil-necked lightweight, once you hear him talk you understand right away he isn’t the guy to stare down Xi and Putin. DeSantis would be licking their feet like a puppy.

if trump had just embraced desantis and said he believes if him etc, hed be a slam dunk win.
instead trumps ego got in the way and hes convinced a sizable portion of his base that ron is low energy, a dork, a covid maniac, not to be trusted etc.

sad really. i wanted a republican to win in 24 as I am worried greatly about the border being out of control and inflation

to be fair i dont think either can win. key to this election is peeling off enough white suburban female voters in arizona and GA that normally vote GOP but didn't like trump so went Biden (or didnt vote at all). have to get those votes back

Desantis i dont think can pull them in. his reputation doesnt play well with a lot of them (fair or not)

someone that runs a campaign like youngkin in VA just did could pull in those white suburban voters that they need to get to 270 (srs). and i think biden is unpopular enough that a relatively boring dude like Youngkin or Scott could still keep the red states trump got (and lock down Ohio and FL) AND get the needed suburban female vote in GA and AZ that Trump phucked up on

GA is a red state, and by next November they will be feeling the recession pretty hard. Let’s not take data points from 2020 and extrapolate them into the future. The US will be a very different place than it is now by next years election.
