Anybody else lift without a concrete goal? Srs
I go to the gym and try to increase the amount of weight I can lift. But it's not like I'm gunning for a specific max. I just take notice of how much more I can lift and feel proud. I just make a mental note.

I haven't had a goal for the past few months and it's caused my motivation to plummet.

Yea me
Do a full body routine. 3x weekly. But could care less about how much i can lift.
When you get older, (im 34) ,im more concerned about eating healthy and longevity.
Technically i shouldnt even be lifting weights since lifting weights is bad for you.

My original goal was to gain some muscle. I started at 14 and had 14" biceps and weighed like 260lbs at 6'2. By 17 I had 18" arms and weighed 220lbs. After that I didn't really have a goal, I've never struggled with moving heavy weight or anything like that. As I've gotten older I am trying to move more into being more flexible, which is something I've neglected and it's caused me a lot of injuries. I also want to get down to 240lbs from the 280lbs I am now.

So that was constant burning pain for the last 3 weeks or so. I will stop lifting for 6-9 months, and then progress too quickly after picking back up so I constantly pull chest muscles or back muscles. In fact I've been dealing with ridiculous pain coming from my right shoulder blade for about 2 years now. I went to physical therapy and it got better, but it was taking too much time out of my day, so I stopped, and the pain is back. I have bone spurs growing under my patellar tendons, both sides. So that hurts like hell when squatting. I can only run about a mile before the shin splits hurt so much that I can barely walk. I have a lot of issues, and they're all my fault. I'm gonna see about doing yoga or pilates or something. What injuries have you experienced that believe would have been avoided if you had been more flexible?

I'm just trying to lose 20lbs and see how chiseled I can get my jaw
I did the whole natty bbing thing in my early to mid-20's and I'm over it. At 6'3 its not worth the effort unless I start juicing

I don't have a goal & I haven't in years. I think essentially every natty gets there after 2-3 years. Lifting is just a basic body-maintenance thing for me like showering or brushing my teeth. I'm really just focused on progressing in other physical hobbies like boxing & yoga.

Just add an extra rep or another 5 pounds to my sets. I expect to leave the gym a cramping mess after each workout. It worked so far
