Thoughts on blink 182?

Used to like them when I was 12-13 or so, but then I grew out of that type of music and thought they were gay af for the longest time

Listened to them again recently though and actually all their songs are pretty catchy and fun to listen to despite the mostly stupid lyrics and pop punk cheese

I liked them, but wasn't that huge of a fan. Most of it is pretty much nostalgia, but now makes me sad especially Miss You, because a kid I grew up with in high school we used to listen to Blink all the time driving to school, and then we lost touch after high school.

Found out he passed away couple yrs ago from cancer. Feels bad man.

If you go back and listen to stuff of that era, even as someone who didn't like pop punk, I recognize that New Found Glory were actually really good. Same with Sum 41. Blink 182, they still suck tho.

they have some classic songs. it's good to have bands that can write good, fun tunes but are chit musicians(drummer is great). makes kids think they can do it too. more kids in the garage or basement playing, less time on the street banging and chit
