how big of a loner were you as a kid?

used to sit by myself at lunch, go on the swing instead of playing with other kids, wouldnt swim in a public pool unless i was alone, teachers recommended my parents send me to therapy, etc.

anyone else experience this growing up?

I had a small group of friends growing up, but I've lost contact with most of them. I'm pretty much a loner these days, but it doesn't really bother me.

Not much of one. I’m a natural introvert (in the 99th percentile last I checked – straight autism levels) but I always had friends growing up. In high school I had A LOT of friends, dozens of brahs I’d hang out with daily running the streets doing dumb chit. Sadly they all dwindled away throughout my early to mid 20s and now there’s only 1 left in the world I consider a friend. Life is getting lonelier every year and I can tell the best days are behind me.

Huge loner, but by choice.

Was actually very athletic, always picked first on teams... only problem was I hated team sports. Liked solo sports, mostly cycling (bmx racing). So tended to hang out by myself so I wouldn't be asked to play football, basketball, kickball, etc.

Rather read a book or meditate when I was in middle school. I'd purposely get detention during recess to read in an air conditioned room.

Still rather be alone in my old age, so maybe that kind of f'd me up. Rather be alone than with a sloot.

having friends is one of the greatest blessings.

you don't realize that until you are completely alone for years without anyone to talk to.
