How far do you travel to your gym?

5.8 miles for me. There are a few gyms closer but they're more mainstream fitness gyms likely with all kinds of rules. The gym I go to is a proper lifters gym.

6 miles each way, well worth it.

And same with me, there are several closer that are mainstram that I tried out but I cannot deal with the packed out crowd at 5pm and everybody taking selfies and vids.

500 metre walk. Not too bad at all.

I agree about going to a proper lifters gym. The problem I find with the fitness franchise gyms like Anytime Fitness is that they're too effing small. It's all crammed into one room and it's even worse when a busy rush ensues.

Gyms should be warehouse sized with multiple squat racks, benches, cable stations and two of each machine. With enough room to freely move around without cramming past people.

Because, I don't know about you guys but if I need to fart in the gym I let it rip. I like to crop dust afterwards so the space to move out of the blast radius is essential.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

All my equipment is in my front yard. Usually take my 4mo old out in his bouncy chair to sit and watch me lift. He cheered me on today while I did deficit deadlifts and high bar squats. And by cheered me on I mean he just drooled a lot. Doesn't quite feel the same as being in a gym and catching sloots mirin or mogging other dudes in nearby racks/platforms. Even better when my toddler joins us and asks me to play tag between every set. I think she's trying to tell me my physique could benefit from some cardio.

I did go a nearer gym about 3 miles away today, but the gym isn't a good. Lacks weight plates and serious lifting gear.

Still sticking with the 6 miles away gym for the moment as its just worth the extra travel time.

Roundtrip is 3.50 miles (srs. 1.9 there due to one-way roads, then 1.6 back).

Use to be 2 miles. We keep a free bench in the closet and dumbless up to 50lbs.

Got a power rack and 600lbs of free weights in the building gotta run power and get that all hooked up then will have private gym 30 yards from house.

40-50 miles depending if I leave from work or home. I go to that gym 2x per week and home the rest of the time.

7 Miles. My gym is pricey, but the higher membership costs keep the jogger population to manageable levels. I've done trials at other closer more affordable gyms near me and noped out fast.

Less than 10 mins. Maybe 3 miles? Most of that is sitting at the light getting out of my neighborhood. There’s closer gyms but just about anywhere I travel has this gym chain so it makes sense. Although I’ve been lazy as hell hitting the gym in vacation lately.
