I'm sure some liberals were thinking about that, but that's a tall order. For example, in downtown LA, Skidrow would be considered prime real estate if they could get all the homelss and drug addicts out. But they haven't been able to achieve that goal in nearly 30 decades of trying.


If someone is trying to pull off the same scheme in SF they may be in for a rude awakening. Once a place is too far gone (like skidrow) there really is no coming back.

SF seems pretty similar to what happened in Detroit in the 1980s. They basically just let the downtown hollow out.
