Misc Health and Nutrition specialists, is furfuryl alcohol really bad for you?

There are some fiber bars that i get once in a while that contain it and some people tell me it is ok unless you consume crazy high amounts, but others tell me that you should avoid it if possible like in bars that have it as an added ingredient and it is not naturally found in the food.
