Oooh 1000 planets
That means 4 planets (small zones) with stuff on and 996 planets that have Jack ****
It's 30 fps come on
It's gonna be glitched to high heaven
Combat is literally fallout 3
It's gonna suck

yup, likely a repeat of no man's sky. marketing the number of planets or worlds in a video game is so silly. we dont care about the sheer quantity. have some diversification yes, but 1000s of planets shouldnt be needed. we just need good story and good gameplay.

Yeah the more I think about it, the less motivated I feel. I spent 2.3k to upgrade my PC. Didnt really need to but Starfield was my main motivation since I've been desperate for a modern version of Mass Effect.
Sadly, what made ME great was being able to combine customization, gameplay, story and immersiveness into one experience. In Starfield I see the customization and even the gameplay at times but I'm not seeing an overarching story or immersiveness.
I don't care about 1000 random planets with a bunch of dumb alien creatures. I want worlds that are crafted by the developers to be impactful and awe-inspiring.

Looks dope to me, I'm not worried about them using 1000 planets as a marketing gimmick for plebs to cling to. I'll play at my own pace and enjoy however many plants I feel like exploring. I think most of us who arent potato brained know there won't be 1000 planets that will actually be interesting. My assumption is that the most detailed/interesting planets will be the ones the campaign brings you through.
Starfield looks like a great blend of no man's sky / star citizen / fallout in space. I'm gunna dust off my flight stick too assuming it's compatible.
I don't expect it to do any one single thing spectacularly, but I think it will be pretty good all around.
Maybe I'll bite my tongue upon release but so far count me on the hype train because I think it looks pretty cool and I won't have to pay 70 bucks to try it out soooo even better.

1000 planets, really?
This game feels like Cyberpunk all over again. They try to be so complicated and offer something so wide in scope but it never lives up to your expectations because it fails to be a master at a particular thing.
Jakes on me though. I just want Mass Effect Reboot.

Gameplay looked good to me. I'm debating on whether to get a xbone so I can enjoy it on a 55 inch oled. But my 2080 gpu might br able to handle it.
If it's as good as fallout 4 then I will have no complains lol

No man's sky was also dope, but got boring because there wasnt a real campaign or enemies to fight. It was a vibe to just fly around and explore for a while but that gets boring.
Maybe you don't want those things, but some of us do. No man's sky where I can play fps/3ps rpg, dogfight, collect ships, and base build if I want? Sounds great. Free on gamepass? Sounds even better.

I never played NMS, and i get some folks just want to explore but I really enjoy games that have a compelling plot. I don't want to be the center of the universe....I want to be a part of an amazing story.

It will be a buggy mess no doubt.
But what will make it much more fun and playable is when the modders do their thing and clean up the bugs.
Mods extended the life of Fallout and Skyrim, same will happen here

If game comes out and reviews well, you can just say:
-reviewers paid off
-reviewers bad
-didn’t sell enough series x’s therefore game is bad
Therefore you’re “right” no matter what lol

At the end of the day, you either like Bethesda games or you're a pony. So I mean if it's not for you, then don't play it.

I just don't get the appeal of mass customization and pushing the boundaries on features. Is it really so hard to just make a something more standard but just take standard features to the highest quality possible?
It's like in fallout 4 how they tried to add all the base building stuff. Like, just make fallout 3 with updated graphics and fill it with interesting characters and enjoyable story.
Starfield feels like a ton of surface level stuff that seems really forward thinking when the story will probably be boring as chit with bad dialogue and forgettable characters.

I don't know, the only part that I thought was really cool was the space ship customization. Overall, it looked like a less-stylized No Man Sky and the combat looked like fallout (stiff, awkward). It's on Gamepass which I have like 3 years of at the moment so, no real loss if I don't end up liking it. I'm cautiously optimistic I suppose.

There's some serious copium shortage due to Sonycels in shambles over Starcuckfield. Story, gameplay, and biomes look great. Just go back to playing your single planet game Horizon while we explore the universe and overcompensate with our massive spaceships.
