I sleep 6 hours. That is it. That is all I have ever needed. I have always wanted to sleep more because I hear about 8 hours and chit but never needed it and my body just doesn't do it. I will be tired, sore, etc... sleep and even without an alarm I will be up in 6 hours, ready to go. Not sure if I am different or 8 hours is some bunk chit.
A solid 6 hours, even waking up to take a wiz and I am ready to go.

If I get less than 7 hours I’m a fkin zombie.
If I get less than 7 hours for more than a couple days straight, it will take me sleeping in late the entire weekend to recover, just go repeat the same cycle all over again.
According to my app I averaged 6 hours 54 mins of sleep last week and I was absolutely exhausted every single day.

When I was younger. 8-9.
Now 7 is all I need. I never sleep more even though I don’t need to get up for anything.

On a regular day I can get by on 7-8 hours but I wouldn't say I'm at peak performance

5-6 I can function but I feel sluggish most of the day. 7-8 I feel ok but get tired in the afternoon. 9-11 and I feel great all day. My body unfortunately naturally goes 5-6 so I have to work at getting more sleep. I have to go all dark, give half an hour before I actually fall asleep, avoid caffeine close to bedtime, and force myself to stay in bed in the early AM when I wake up after 5-6 hours.

I feel like when I’m under 8 hrs not only my physical performance dips but my cognitive ability and even mental health to an extent is negatively affected
Hoping in my 40s I ll need less - feels like wasted time

I need atleast 8hrs, but I'm retarded and only give myself 5-6hrs then crash on the weekends and sleep 12hrs straight.
Makes me feel constantly exhausted and fukks up your mental health, but its such a hard cycle to escape

7-8 is good for me. I rarely sleep 8 hours though. I wish I could sleep 8 every night. I have insomnia and I can't sleep late so unless I go to bed at 10 there's no way I'm hitting that when I have to get up between 6-6:30 for work every day. Sometimes I wake up earlier than my alarm even and that sucks.
For those saying they sleep 9-12 hours a night, how do you even have time for that? You don't work full time?
