Trump dramatically increasing his lead in the polls

Trump's campaign was pretty much dead after the disastrous 2022 midterms but now has been resurrected. Question is if he can keep up this momentum or not?

I remember not long ago some were saying the polls would tight. It might happen, there is a lot of time before the GOP primary vote. With the Trump indictments though, I imagine conservatives and others will understandably rally around Trump.

Trump does have a history of sticking his foot in his mouth. He might take himself look bad, but even if that happened I'm not so sure it would change voters minds about Trump at this point.

The DeSantis electability argument has disintegrated.

Trump averaging 2.4% above Biden in national popular vote polling is significant and DeSantis is averaging 1.3% while simultaneously collapsing in favorability and failing to see any bump in primary polling since his announcement (he even dropped into the low teens in a few surveys last week – time will tell if that’s a new trend). Voters seem to like the idea of DeSantis more than the man himself.

Trump may not have the most crossover appeal, but we now have months of data suggesting he has a strong case for leading his party against Biden and more electability than his closest GOP rival. After that it drops off a cliff. There’s a reason the opposition literally wants him in prison.

Didn't read OP, on block (why isn't he with you?) but assuming the latest legal woe is bumping him in the polls - kind of surprised. I can see how it would get him massive fund raising, it's a flag to his core, they believe it's unfair and political BS from Biden/Democrats.

Independents on the other hand are really only being fed one narrative, though, that Trump is some criminal mastermind. If he's getting a bump in polls, I can only assume many are not seeing this and side with the pro-Trump crowd and think it's unfair.
