OHP vs BB Bench: Which is more fun?
This isn't about which you prefer for strength and aesthetics, just purely the enjoyment of completing the lift itself.
Lately, I've kinda been more in the OHP camp. Something about pushing weight over your head feels badass. You?

I like OHP variations (usually seated these days) and Incline Bench pretty much equally. I have a day dedicated to each.
Haven't done flat bench press in a couple years now.

Bench Press is my favorite. Nothing better than bench mogging everyone else at the gym.

Overhead press is my favorite.
Picking something up overhead feels way more powerful than lying down and pushing it.
Bench pressing is like doing chin-ups and having someone hold your feet.

Was at a different, more mainstream gym this morning, and was getting stares at my higher sets. I'm so used to meathead gyms were nobody gives a damn because most people are really strong.

Idk it’s easier for me to go balls out on bench without injuring myself whereas with ohp my form is more liable to break down and fuk up my shoulder/back/neck
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.
Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

Bench imo, though Barbell Bench (heavy) is a relatively high risk exercise and I don't do it anymore. Part of why I consider it more "fun" is I was definitely better at it. I got pretty damn strong at benching, but making substantial progress in OHP seems to be hard as fuk to do.

The military press was my favorite exercise of all time. Front and behind the neck both were actually fun unlike deads.
But I gave up weights long ago. No regrets. Just I really really used to look forward to OHP push day.
Bench both incline and flat, and even floor during some phases… all were fun too. I flat out hated declined though. Lol

Partial reps can be useful for strengthening, don’t get me wrong. But yes generally it’s good to utilize the entire range.

I like OHP for the badass factor. But it sucks because the progression is so damn slow. For that reason i like bench more.
Ohp feels better though, idk. Its 5050 for me

Haven't benched in about a year now since changing my workouts to include more olympic lifts, but benching was more fun. Could put up way more weight and got a great pump too. That feel of lifting heavy weight over head though is something else. I think i like push press better than ohp as well.

Bench but not by a lot. OHP feels joocy af. Can confirm if you bench 2 plates and up and OHP 1 plate and up at commercial gyms you'll always get stares.

bench used to be my favorite exercise, but I prefer OHP now. As I got older bench started to hurt whatever ligaments/tendons around my triceps, and I'd end up not lifting as much as I could in fear of either dropping the weight or not being able to get it up all the way. OHP, even if you fail, you won't die, I remember some USC? football player dropped like 225 on his throat while benching and got fukked up
