How do people afford to do all this? Srs
I sometimes go through social media and I see acquaintances that I know are in debt and paying absurd rent are busy going in vacations to Hawaii and other places ever so often. And I’m thinking to myself here that I’m debt free with no expenses and I still couldn’t afford to take that many vacations or partake in that many recreational activities. How do these people do it? Am I missing something?

It's called being irresponsible.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Or in some cases maybe intentionally working the system.
I don't have a balance w/Amex but they recently sent me a notice that the interest rate could be as high as 29.99%.

Some people have different tolerances for debt than others.
Some people have wealthier familes than others.
Some girls mothers are bigger than other girls mothers.

my cousin just took her whole family to disney world...it was something like $20k...parents paid for most of it. they also paid for hawaii and somewhere in europe. a lot of parents getting up near 70+ are willing to spend like crazy on their kids and grandkids.

lot of it is parents paying for their stuff.
rich parents want their kids to have a better life than they did, so they spoil them.
seen a 24 year old living in NYC buying gucci/prada/bcbg and living a baller lifestyle..

If the people you refer to are really in debt (& how do you know their personal financial situation though) -- then someone else is paying for it. They might've went with family who handled the bill

What's a trip cost ? A couple thousand?
Not that big of a deal in the long run of things ...
Either they credit card max , parents pay , or they actually set aside and save $ to go on said vacations
