It's one of the most cringe, rhythmless, form of dancing. Like some retarded boomer desperately wanted dancing in the Summer Olympics and decided it's still 1980s and breakdancing was the new chit on the block.

Group Choreo is the only legit form of dance competition. Every form of 1 on 1 dance battle is fkn PEAK second hand embarrassment.

Not sure what your complaint is OP? Is it that breakdancing is too subjective? That is a fair point, although it wouldn't be the first olympic sport to be scored by judges based on subjective factors.

From a physical perspective though it fits in with the olympics pretty well. I would suggest watching something like the below videos:





Some of the moves they do make gymnasts look like amateurs srs.

That video shows exactly why it's so laughable. Bunch of urban youths scream WOOOOOO after every silly move pulled off. This is something for cringy teenagers, not for the olympics. It has nothing to do with sports whatsoever.

I've seen some world championship level salsa and bachata performances and that actually looks pretty legit too. Still not suited for the olympics but at least it's more respectable.

Fuking ice dancing and artistic swimming are olympic sports you goon. At least breakdancing moves actually take absolute genetic freak levels of physicality to pull off, which makes it a decent candidate for the games.

Hell, gymnastics recently borrowed a move that breakdancers have been pulling off with ease for decades.

I'd love to watch breakdancing to be honest. Grew up in its conception with greats like kurtis blow, grandmaster flash, sugarhill gang and ofc the breaking movies.
