Big Corp vs Small Company

Sup boyos, i’m gonna be honest with you and admit that I’m a wagecel but working from home. So you can guess that my working hours are flexible and can pull 8 hours of work in like 1-2 hours.

The company I work for is pretty small (less than 100 employees) and used to be very laid-back as it wouldn’t enforce corporate bullchit and games.

Well, this has changed with the new VP. He started enforcing all these corporate bs like water cooler talks, communities, office days, pizza days, etc etc. You know the drill.

Now I wonder if I should jestermaxx and play all these corporate bs or just jump ship? Am I asking too much to be left alone, do my work, cash the check and gtfo of any related work activity?

Is this a game you have to play? Any advice would be appreciated

other companies will do it but it will be way worse.

if you like where you are, just deal with it. they will get sick of it. he is just trying to establish dominance.
