Anybody own a foldable phone?
That new google pixel fold just dropped and I'm in the market for a new phone sometime this year preferably. Not trying to be a consoomer but I'm tired of having a chit 200 dollar phone that's a couple years old, and it's starting to breakdown on me. So I was thinking either going in on a nice foldable so I can misc on a bigger screen or maybe wait for the pixel 8 pro to drop this fall and spend about half the price but still have a flagship. Is the extra screen real estate worth it?

i have a zfold4 and like it but its just very chunky in the pocket especially with a case/pen holder on and the outer screen is a bit narrow. ive been using the s22 ultra as my DD instead. the pixel folds outer screen looks more usable than the z fold's

I really like the real estate, it makes watching movies or YouTube possible. When my wife sleeps, I turn the phone on and watch shows. You can even put the movie up top or on the left and misc on the bottom.
The phones are much bulkier than regular phones. I would make sure whatever phone you bought, you could return in 2 weeks. My wife returned hers because it was too big for her hands.

Maybe I'll standby until the pixel 8 pro has some reviews and if it's great I'll save the money and go for that.i have a zfold4 and like it but its just very chunky in the pocket especially with a case/pen holder on and the outer screen is a bit narrow. ive been using the s22 ultra as my DD instead. the pixel folds outer screen looks more usable than the z fold's
