Just bought a Nintendo Switch today

I bought

And then im excited to buy a physical copy of this in October which i would have just bought on steam if i didn't have the switch

It's nice to have some good games to play after being disappointed by Diablo 4 and wasting $100 on it. And with physical hardware and copies i can sell these whenever i want. Lot of good games i can play with this. I'd like to try Mario Odyssey, Luigi's mansion, Pikman. Maybe i'll even see what a modern day Pokémon game is like. Haven't played one since Silver on the gameboy. It's just a shame that nintendo games are basically always full price, but a lot of quality games i can play on it.

Nice. I hope you enjoy. I have some more recommendations.

Skyward sword and tears of the kingdom are VERY different in terms of design, but I like them both. The dungeon design in skyward sword is leagues better imo though, it’s much more classic Zelda.

-Metroid dread
-donkey Kong country: tropical freeze
-super Mario odyssey
-super Mario 3D world/bowsers fury: 3D world is more linear level based, almost like the 2d games but in 3D
-Metroid prime remastered
-astral chain
-I would say Bayonetta 3 but I’d wait for a switch successor because performance isnt that good
-Pokémon let’s go are like remakes of red/blue, but with a different catching gimmick
-Mario kart if you have people to play with
-xenoblade remastered or xenoblade 3 if you like complex jrpg’

Xenoblade 2 is easily the best game on the system.

I would definatley try and play breath of the wild before totk.

Even if you just gun it in 30 hours and just do the main story and a little bit of side questing.

I feel like you'll miss out a bit if you go cold into totk, it's a direct sequel so it's cool to see how the world has changed over the last few years and what characters are up to now etc.

Amazing how things differ from one person to the other, I like DIABLO 4 A LOT, it is as a matter of fact the only game I am playing now, and for you, it made you buy another platform to try games

I have not. Worth it? Didn't feel like finishing Octopath Traveler if that counts for anything.

Wow tears of the kingdom is incredible. I haven’t felt this into a game since Resident Evil 4 Remake.

I thought Breath of the wild was boring and a chore to play but there’s so much life in this and the puzzles/building makes things interesting. I’ve never been a huge fan of open world games, but I feel like I actually want to explore and collect, and discover with this one. Glad I bought the console for this. I’m a big Zelda fan. I’ll try out Skyward Sword later on. One I never got to play because I had zero interest in the stupid motion controls. Other than that I’ve played nearly all of the Zelda’s.

Yeah, totk is crack.

I still got the wii version of skyward sword that I never finished. Was too weird to play. Haven't tried the switch version. In for review.

Coming from someone who didn’t like BOTW at all, thought it was boring, annoying combat, empty environment and didn’t care to finish it, TOTK is the complete opposite to me. Everything you do in the game feels satisfying. Combat is fun, the puzzles/shrines and mechanics are very well done, there seems to be actual quests to do, and the world is filled with stuff. I’ve never been a big fan of open world games even though I will play them, but this one has been the most enjoyable. This is worth buying a switch alone for.

I think it's accurate when people say totk makes botw look like a tech demo.
